Hey, what's up guys, it's Ted of summit and today we are talking about wild violet. Now wild violet is a weed, not to be confused with creeping Charlie, we also have videos out about that. These are two totally different weeds however, we actually deal with them in a very similar fashion. Now creeping Charlie and wild violet right here, these weeds are pretty hard to get rid of. They're most of the time, they're not going to go away with one spray. You also have to hit them at certain times a year. So if you've ever had clover clover is going to be another one like this. Clover is hard to get rid of, just like these two. And here's why. In the summertime, these weeds develop a waxy coating, imagine like a succulent, where if you put droplets of water on them, that water will beat up and then roll right off and it doesn't stick to the plant very well.

So in the fall, that waxy coating it starts to go away. So when we use our weed control, it's here in the fall and when your lawn is really absorbing these fall fertilizers to make a resurgence, as it revitalizes itself before winter. This is the time of year to kill off a lot of these weeds, or at least really put a dent in them. And some of these weeds take several applications to really get rid of. But this is one of the most important times to really make an impact on weeds in your lawn.
